illuminate |16 October, 201923 April, 2018 |Fairs and ExhibitionsRight in the center of hall 3, where the trend-setting lighting companies are located, wide white walls and ceilings make up a large minimalist space where the elegant shapes and designs of BEGA products stand out.The quality is perceived in all the details of the construction of the stand and of course in the products exhibited.Year after year, BEGA is one of the protagonists of Light + Building in Frankfurt.An important part of the visit to the stand was the conversation we had with Javier Juárez about the availability of BEGA in Mexico.Juárez and Sorensen agree that, since the supply to Mexico depends on the plant located in California, in the United States, better service, availability and delivery times can be guaranteed.With this, the Mexican market obtains the same guarantee as that offered in the United States and has the same catalogue.It is worth mentioning that any BEGA product is 120-277V 0-10 W, IP65 outdoors and IP54 indoors.The luminaires are available in Mexico in 15 days.During the tour of the stand, iluminet had as hosts and guides Javier Juárez – who is in charge of the exclusive distribution of BEGA in Mexico – and Scott Sorensen, commercial vice president of the brand in the United States.Both invited us to discover, first-hand, the novelties and what's new in the L+B catalogue.Sorensen indicated that for the first time BEGA and Lindberg – a sister brand that specializes in decorative lighting for interiors made primarily of high-quality blown glass – are presenting themselves together under the BEGA brand.Lindberg is renowned for its indoor luminaires while BEGA specializes in outdoor lighting, the union of the two brands strengthens the offer for a wider range of applications.The experience and knowledge that the German brand has in the manufacture of outdoor lighting have also been transferred to the interior line.Both applications have similar designs and offer the same sealing system.Now the outdoor kits also have dynamic whites.The tour of the stand showed a diversity of products: we saw recessed ceiling and wall lines, downlights and wallwashers, as well as office lighting.In them, the optics and the great balance between performance and visual comfort are remarkable.Then we find some bollards, poles and pedestrian lights, with iconic and unique designs.These seek a balance between efficiency (lm/W) and visual comfort, that is, providing the right amount of light where it is needed.For BEGA not everything is energy efficiency, quality of light is also important.All the products of the German company have a marine finish – anti-corrosion protection – 5-year warranty on the equipment and 20 on its components.The posts and bollards are prepared to integrate accessories such as security cameras, motion sensors, among other elements.They also presented us with a line of high-impact bollards, to protect pedestrians from a possible accident –as a containment barrier– in case a vehicle left the road.This line of bollards contains a concrete core that is capable of containing the impact of a 7-ton truck at 50 km/h.On the tour we also liked some flat and compact floor luminaires made to illuminate facades with throws of up to 25 meters.This could be a very interesting solution, for example for lighting in heritage sites.We have seen unsuccessful solutions in Mexico and other places with luminaires placed on tall poles or crude supports and poorly integrated into the space for lighting facades.BEGA teams can be tools to find a much more suitable solution.On the stand we also find high power outdoor reflectors, an area in which BEGA was well known in the days of metal additives.Now with the LED technology of its projectors, it is recovering the niche of this branch of lighting.But in small things we also find design in quality, as in its garden lights that incorporate a control system with zigbee protocol via bluetooth, which is plug and play, so that the residential user can program scenes and colors without resorting to any specialist. in its gardens and facades.Enter your email to subscribe and receive notifications when we post something.Email address
